Love Sick

I had full intentions of doing a precious little Valentine photo shoot with my kiddos, but our whole house was sporadically sick off and on and it just didn't happen. So here are the few I was able to snap of the kiddos. We got to enjoy an adorable party at Emmerson and Grayson's house. And Charlotte did a little Valentine program at her school. Sweet celebrations!

Heart-shaped chalk Valentines we made for the party.

Enjoying her cupcake creation.

First Haircut

Two days before Valentine's Day we took Grant for his first haircut. He is eight months now and honestly, his hair was growing a tad out of control on the sides. I knew I wanted him to have it cut by my stylist and friend, Amanda, so we booked an appointment. I emotionally prepared myself to lose just a little bit of my baby boy. You see, Charlotte will be four years old next week and has never even had a trim, so this was a major milestone for this mommy.

Grant did a wonderful job! He really enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror and nibbling on a hairbrush. When the last lock of hair fell, a big boy had emerged. Thanks to Amanda and The Spa at Roop's Mill for taking such great care of my little man! We'll be booking a mommy/daughter spa day soon!

Snow Much Fun

Okay, I will admit, I love winter but even I am itching for spring. Which is fitting in many ways since I am in the midst of planning Charlotte's 4th birthday party which has a spring vibe to it for sure. But it is still February...wintry and cold. Thankfully the recent snows have offered our family some white, fluffy fun. Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Charlotte on the porch before preschool rockin' her snowgirl garb.

Snow playing and sledding, Grant even joined in on the fun!

And some 10pm sledding with Daddy.

Here are some videos, including a funny clip from the night sledding.

Sweet Heart

Chris and I enjoyed a sweet Valentine's Day this year. He sent me the prettiest flowers and we got to slip away for a lovely dinner together at local fave Paradiso. We enjoyed our little Valentines, Charlotte and Grant, as well but more about them later. I love you, Chris! Thanks for always making me feel so important and loved in your life!

First Snowflakes

In December, Grant experienced his first glimpse of snow. I have more pictures of Charlotte and Grant enjoying the snowfalls from the last few months which I will post soon, but I had to share these precious shots I grabbed of Grant feeling snowflakes for the first time!

First Bites

Back in November (yes, I am finally catching up from 3 months back) we gave Grant his first bites of rice cereal and then later, sweet potatoes. Well, I should say Charlotte actually fed him his first taste of solid food. She loved being such a great helper, and Grant was really interested in the new tastes and textures...so much that he tried to pull the bowl into his mouth! Of course now at near 8 months he is eating table foods like a champ and loving trying anything new he can get his lips on, even doing some self feeding. Mealtime is always full of giggles and joy. Grant really is delightful in every way!

Enjoy the pictures from those first few bites. They are un-edited but I figure if I spent the time to edit and enhance the pictures they might never be shared! Enjoy!
