Merry Merson Christmas!

So...here is an explosion of pictures from December. What a wonderful holiday season we got to share as a family. I would write more but I think the photos tell the story best!

Some of my favorites...

Six Months

I will post something here soon with all of the Christmas happenings, but until then, here is our sweet cherub enjoying his first Christmas. Halfway to one year old...how can this be? At 15 pounds 14 ounces and just short of 27" he is laughing, sitting, babbling (dada, baba, and finally mama!), eating solids and still nursing like a champ, trying to cut some teeth for three months now but no luck yet, rolling over, nibbling his toes, loving bath time, trying to push up into a crawl, recognizing his own hand's shadow, jumping in his new jumparoo and just being delightful pretty much every second of the day! Happy Half-Birthday, sweet Grant Oliver...we LOVE you!

Merry & Bright

Wishing your family the kind of Christmas that makes you pause to reflect on the many great blessings of life. I'm thankful for my sweet blessings...specifically Chris, Charlotte and Grant. How my life would never be as full without my precious three. Thank you God for these wonderful gifts and for the gift you gave us all in the form of a baby those many years ago. We wish you a Merry Christmas, rich with blessing, tradition and love!

Santa, Baby!

We attended a Christmas party at the Berringer's home last weekend where there was a fun surprise for all the kiddos - Santa! Charlotte was thrilled to see this familiar man in red, but Grant was completely freaked out...he was grasping for Charlotte the whole time. So precious!

Merry (almost) Christmas!

Annual Tree Farm Adventure

We have been visiting the same tree farm for years now as a family to chop down our Christmas tree. It is always a great time, and the last few years have been interesting...muddy snow last year and then bitter cold wind this year (and yes, my husband wore shorts per usual). We loved having Grant along with us this time, even though he did sleep the entire trip! We hope your family is enjoying trimming your trees and preparing your homes for Christmas - truly the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas Spirit

With Christmas JUST around the corner I thought I should share some pics of the latest happenings around the Merson home. Many more pictures to come!

Charlotte and Emmerson got to walk in a Christmas parade at the end of November alongside a float made by realtors that my mother-in-law does business with. They were quite cute dressed up as gingerbread girls!

I was so proud of my girl! She was a trooper, even though it was freezing outside! What a fun way to kick off the season.

Five Months

I love taking pictures of my little guy, he is always so smiley and animated. Hard to believe in just two weeks he will be 1/2 way to one year. We have a well check-up at 6 months with our pediatrician so I can't wait to post his stats then. He's also started eating solid foods, with his favorite being bananas! Pictures of those first bites coming soon. Until then, here is Mister Grant. Oh, I should add he has also babbled his first real words which were "da-da-da-da". I promise I am not jealous. ;)

Here is little mister at four months (in October). He is the light of our family, bringing such happiness with every passing day!

And he and his big sister get along pretty well, too!

Sweetest Treats

We enjoyed a wonderful Halloween season this year, made especially fun because it was Grant's first! Charlotte LOVES pink sprinkle donuts so we decided a Dunkin' Donuts duo would be such fun. And HUGE thanks to my amazing mom who sewed Charlotte's costume. I loved seeing it all come together...we sure did have the sweetest treats around!

Seventh Heaven

Chris and I celebrated our seventh anniversary on October 19. I am so amazed when I look back over these past years together in marriage to see our journey and reflect on our experiences thus far. What a ride, with two beautiful children as gifts along the way. I am thankful God gave me my perfect match. I love you, Christopher, for everything you are to me and our family.

Preschool Rocks!

As I catch up on blogging I just have to share about Charlotte's first experiences at preschool. She is LOVING it. On her first morning, she was so excited to wake up and get ready for school. I thought I would be a wreck walking her into her class with Chris by my side, but instead, I was just so overwhelmed with happiness for her because she was so ready and so confident. She ran right into her classroom and started playing at one of the tables immediately. We felt so proud! She started the year just going 1/2 day MWF but she was having so much fun that we decided to do the full day of 9a - 3p and she is adjusting beautifully. Hard to imagine the sweet baby girl we once rocked in our arms is now a school girl!

The album below includes pictures from the ice cream social before the school year began as well as her very first day of preschool. Enjoy! Many more updates to come!

Three Months

Grant turned three months in early September. He is so full of life, smiling almost all the time and bringing his big sister a lot of joy and giggles and daily melting Mommy's heart. This little guy has been such a blessing to our family, we can't imagine a moment without Grant in it! And with football season underway I have to add that he spends his Sundays snuggled in Daddy's lap eyes glued to the TV. Possibly the world's cutest little Ravens fan? We think so. Grant - you are such a delight and we love watching you grow, babble, belly laugh and wiggle your way even deeper into our hearts.
