Primping with Mommy

Chris got to take Charlotte to the Father Daughter Ball this past weekend (sponsored by our church). This was their third year going. It was precious! I get to go with my own dad. Charlotte enjoyed some primp time with me before Chris took her on a special dinner date of her choice before the dance: Panera. What a special memory they get to cherish year after year...she sure is Daddy's little girl!

It was fun to get my little princess ready. I remember my mom curling my hair in similar pink sponge curlers when I was little. They worked okay on Charlotte, but I ended up blow drying and hot-rolling her hair to get the best curls. Next time we will try these curlers over-night. She loved getting dolled up!

23 Weeks

This pregnancy sure is moving right along! I have enjoyed feeling our baby boy squirm, kick and pretty much rock out in my tummy. I have plans to get his nursery started once I get a little more motivated (all the snow has pretty much zapped my energy for the past week). We are still deciding on a name. With each tiny outfit purchased, doctor appointment checked off the list and day that goes by with the promise of summer, he becomes more and more real! Charlotte's new favorite place to snuggle and rest her head is right upon my tummy so she can feel his movements and talk with him. It just melts me!

Sweet Love

Our Valentine's weekend was extra sweet. A fun family date night Friday night, a quiet dinner at Paradiso on Saturday night for just me and Chris, and then today we relaxed after a lovely worship service this morning at church. I am so blessed by my precious family, truly the two loves of my life!

Blizzard 2010, Round 2

After digging out from the first blast, the Baltimore area got covered with another dose of white fury, and in our area, the totals from the second storm were greater than the first. I would say we had nearly 4 feet of snow when the last flakes had fallen. This is the most snow this area has ever seen...a bit of history in the making!






Thankfully the sun came out the next day and Chris and Charlotte were able to play together. Some spots were as high as Charlotte, but she enjoyed rolling around in the yard and then sliding down her slide into the snow.

As you can see the snow got pretty high...thankful my ride is safely tucked away into the warm, dry garage!


I think most everyone in Maryland is snow over this weather, but it appears we may have more to look forward to on Monday. In the meantime, we will make the best of our white winter as we count the days to June when we get to meet Baby Merson!
