Neighborhood Fun

A few weekends back several of our neighbors gathered for a casual dinner party. Everyone brought a dish and we shared a great night of food, laughs and some musical entertainment. Thanks Gary & Ellen for hosting us, I hope we can do another night again soon!

Father Daughter Ball

How can I gush enough about the precious dance we got to attend last month? Each year my dad and his team throw the best event for dads and daughters through our church. Charlotte had a great time grooving with Chris! I felt lucky being there to see it all since I was my dad's date. This was our second time attending with Charlotte, the first time can be seen here. Thanks, Kim, for these family shots!

Two Year Stats

We had a great two year check-up with Dr. Rosner last Monday. Charlotte weighs 26.5 lbs (50th percentile) and is 35 inches tall (90th percentile). She took her shot like a champ and didn't even cry!

O'CoCo

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We enjoyed a day of festive fun including lunch with MiMi & the Greens at Maggie's. Charlotte & Ryder were less than thrilled (okay terrified) about the leprechaun there, but Caden actually let us snap a picture. Once we were home though, she kept asking about the "electricon"...too funny! I am getting through a nasty bout with bronchitis so I wasn't able to take as many pictures as I had hoped, I did however take a long nap with Charlotte in my bed. Today is always a fun day when you've got strong Scotch Irish roots...sadly for me I wasn't feeling the luck of the Irish!

The last picture is the craft we made together. Every day I can count on the words, "Make a craft??" Always makes me smile. I shall leave you with my favorite Irish blessing: May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Sweet Celebration

Charlotte's birthday party was such fun to plan and even more fun to celebrate! The theme was inspired by a dress from Gymboree (plus her love for chocolate) and it took off from there. We celebrated with family and her closest kiddo friends. Such chocolate-covered fun! Thanks to all for celebrating with us. Enjoy the pictures...I seriously have TOO much fun throwing parties!

2nd Birthday

Delicious Details: BIG thanks to my friend Marilyn for offering her cake making expertise. She fashioned the fondant covered chocolate bon bon cake. And I actually made all of the cake bon bons! I got the idea from Bakerella and honestly, they were SO easy! Marilyn is a confection queen, she has every tool known to baking/crafting and she is just extremely talented - thanks, girl! Below is an album of the cake making festivities!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Today our baby girl turned two. I am flooded with emotions as I think about the last two years and the intense happiness our daughter has brought to our world. She is lovely in every way - inside and out. She is brilliant, loving, strong, imaginative, girlie, dramatic, tender, well-mannered, playful, artistic and deliciously sweet all wrapped up in a tiny package with a bright smile and big eyes. What a gift she is! We played outside this afternoon in glorious birthday weather. Party pics coming soon!

Something to Smile About

We recently changed family dentists and selected one that would see Charlotte earlier than age five (thanks to Tiff C. for the referral to her office!). Much to our surprise and delight the lovely, kid-friendly dentist skillfully performed a full cleaning on our little one's teeth. And Charlotte LOVED it. It was amazing to watch!
