38 Weeks

Well, here we are - nearing the end! I am so ready! Charlotte and Daddy are so ready...come on little one!



I am finalizing his nursery (admittedly my focus has been on other parts of our home that needed attention first). I am really loving the way it is all coming together. Just a few more final touches and I will post some pictures.

As of 37.5 weeks at our ultrasound, he was measuring about 8 lbs 6 oz. That means he could be really BIG! Charlotte was 9.2 so I am pretty sure I can handle it, but I had to chuckle a tad when the sonographer mentioned he has a big head. Never a fun thing to hear when you know where that head has to come out.

He is very active, lots of hiccups too. He was also snuggled in pretty tight - looks like we may have a cuddle bear on our hands.

Charlotte asks daily when he is going to finally get here, sometimes her pleas are accompanied with tears and fits of sobbing as she clings to my tummy. It really is sweet. I keep reminding her that once he arrives he will be with us forever, and she seems to be quite okay with that fact. Precious!

Keep growing, little man - we await your healthy arrival with much anticipation and joy!

Mother's Day

I really enjoyed Mother's Day this year - spoiled, loved on and celebrated. HUGE thanks to Chris for letting me upgrade my camera (D40x) to the Nikon D90 as my gift! Now if only I can find some time while preparing for my baby cakes to really play and take some shots! :)

Beachy Weekend

We slipped away for a three day weekend at the end of April to Chris' parents' condo in N. OC...so relaxing and so needed as we have been running non-stop with life and prep for the baby. We rested, enjoyed some of our favorite local eats and shoppes and snuggled in together for probably the last vacation we'll take as a family of three.



Here are some pictures...I didn't take too many as I was far more concerned with sitting on the beach with my four latest unread issues of InStyle. The little things, you know?

Wisteria

My mom has a lovely wisteria patch in her front yard. Thought it would be fun to get a few pictures of Charlotte...she had other plans! Since these flowers only bloom for so long we had to take advantage of timing. Here are the best pictures from what felt like a million...she just wasn't having it that day! I was happy to get a few smiley shots...

33 Weeks

This picture was taken at the beach almost two weekends ago...I am hoping to have a post up soon with some more pictures from our weekend family getaway, it was SUCH fun!

I am growing and growing! My sister shot a maternity session for me today, so I will share those pictures as soon as I can. I will be 35 weeks on Friday!
