Grant's Birth

I have so many words to describe my birth experience with Grant, but I fear NONE of them could possibly do the same justice as these beautiful pictures (most of which were shot by my sister, Kim). For as hard and grueling Charlotte's entrance into this world was, my experience with Grant was completely redemptive. It was absolutely beautiful, blissful in every way, as odd as that sounds since labor and delivery is incredibly painful. It truly made right so much that felt so unfairly difficult when my precious daughter was born. I am not saying I will go on to have many more kiddos, but, the second time around truly was a charm, with my Little Prince the precious prize. Enjoy the photos!

Celebrate!

On July 1st Chris started his new position as an Assistant Principal in Baltimore County. He is really enjoying it thus far, and with students coming back from summer break very soon, he is working long hours with the administrative team to get everything ready. Kinda crazy to have a new baby and start a new job within weeks of one another but he is adjusting well and I am incredibly proud of him and the journey that lead him to this point.

We attended July's Board of Education meeting where they officially presented him, then our little family headed out for a fun celebration dinner at The Melting Pot. Charlotte loved it. Pretty sure the chocolate s'more fondue was her favorite part.

Cheers, Chris! We love you and thank you for everything you do for our family!

Two Months

Little Mister is approaching 10 weeks...how this is even possible for time to go so fast I will never know. He measured in at 12.2 lbs and 2 feet long...he is growing like a weed every day. He fills our days with big smiles, sweet baby conversations (he is quite the talker, much like his big sister) and comic relief. He cracks us up with his hammy little personality, and Charlotte is loving having him around. She's not a fan of his naps, however. I guess she misses him. With so much going on - Chris' new job as an Assistant Principal, my new MOPS year about to begin, pre-school for Charlotte around the corner - Grant sure has helped us remember the simple joys in life. Like lighting up the room with a smile or the peaceful beauty of a sleeping babe. I'm committed to enjoying my children and their innocence amidst the bustle of life. They, along with my husband, are some of God's greatest gifts to me. G r a t e f u l .

Sneak Peek

I cannot wait to share more from the creative and beautiful session my sister Kim shot of our little prince when he was 6 days old. Here is one of my favorites. They are all so amazing!
