With Thanks

My heart is full this year with gratitude...and on Thanksgiving it was easy to name the ways I feel most thankful. For my loving husband, who goes above and beyond in every way imaginable for me and Charlotte. For my sweet daughter, who blesses me daily with the deepest love I have ever known. For my faith, which has carried me through some hard roads this past year. For precious family and friends, who uplift and refresh me. Yes, my heart is full.

Fall Frolic

The day before Halloween, Charlotte and I enjoyed some outside time playing in the bright yellow leaves that fall from our tree in the side yard. She was gracious enough to allow me to capture some pictures...here is a slide show of my golden haired beauty.

Project {HOME OFFICE}

As you all know, I started my Project {RENEW} blog series and have been trying to be current as I get projects completed. However, life sometimes gets in the way of certain plans, so, while the projects were being checked off the list, I haven't been the best at blogging them. I plan to do my best to have the projects all blogged by the end of 2009.

I am proud to announce that my home office make-over is complete! My good friend Cheryl Osterhouse of In Order for Life worked with me to organize my disaster of a craft space. She was simply amazing to work with, so if you need a professional organizer, you MUST contact her.

You can read more about the transformation on her blog, but here is the before and after slideshow from her site. I love my new, clean space!!!

Halloween

What would Halloween be without a festive Dunkin' Donut (and precious pose)?

Carving pumpkins was fun, but Charlotte didn't enjoy the idea of cutting into one with a knife, she cried that we were hurting him...soon she let it go and enjoyed playing with pumpkin guts.

Charlotte has a fascination with peacocks, so it was no surprise that costume idea was a winner. My mom found the most adorable tutu dress, so we just added some glitter felt peacock "eyes" and gemstones and the look was perfect. It was funny to note that Pottery Barn Kids had a peacock costume this year. Using theirs as a guide, I actually liked our version better, and I didn't have to spend $70!

Playing around with a funky color technique...

Pottery Barn's version...

Hope your Halloween was full of treats!
