As I pondered what this birthday really means I couldn't help but realize what a graduation this truly is...leaving my 20s behind. I met Chris at 20, graduated University of Maryland at 21, fell in love and got married when I was 23, enjoyed a dynamic sales career and the precious first few years of marriage, then had sweet Charlotte at 26 and precious Grant at 29. The past decade helped me build a strong foundation for what matters the most in my life...my family! For that reason alone I am nostalgic as I let my 20s go.
However, I am eyeing my 30s with excitement and anticipation of what wonderful blessings are still to come. Often I get overwhelmed as I reflect on my life these days. I'm not oblivious to the fact that being a stay-at-home mom to two is incredibly exhausting and less than glamorous most days. But truly, it is the single most wonderful gift I could ever have received, and the love that I experience every day just overwhelms me. My gratitude toward Chris (and of course God!) for making all this happen is endless. Christopher, you are my Great Love. :)
