Beach Portrait

I have been meaning to get pictures up from our awesome beach week for a few days now, but my computer is running terribly slow (could it be the 10 million pictures it holds?) so I decided to break it into two posts.

First I will share some fun pictures we grabbed one evening on the windy shore. The light was just beautiful, the ocean was calm, however, Charlotte had about had it by the end of the session, so I didn't get nearly as many shots as I had hoped for, but she was a trooper...it was really windy and she was hungry!

Emmerson Celebrates One!

Melissa threw an adorable party for sweet Emmerson's birthday last month. Everything was so cute I found myself just snapping away the entire time. Happy 1st, big girl! We love you!

Fun photography note: All of the pictures were straight out of my camera which means I didn't edit them at all. That ultimately means that I am progressing toward skillfully making pictures that are composed well on their own without doctoring them with editing software. Exciting stuff for me!

I enjoyed a special birthday today with family! MiMi and Kim treated me to lunch, and this evening we ordered pizza for dinner so I didn't have to cook. I can't wait to celebrate with Chris on our dinner date this weekend. Chris and Charlotte spoiled me with a huge Scout tote and a little Lilly wallet that we found at our fave boutique at the beach. Thanks, my loves!

The Land of Little Horses

In July we visited an interesting little place with some very little horses. Charlotte's cousin, Hunter, was closing out a week-long camp where he tended to his very own horse. We got to see him show the horse and participate in a fun theatrical performance by the horses. Here are a few pictures from the day, with the rest in an album below.

Summer Daze

This summer has been packed with fun...I promise to update the blog soon with our adventures!

Pretty as a Princess

I took these back in May. Played with them some tonight in my photo-editing program. Just seeing these pictures again makes me incredibly excited for ballet class this fall! We saw this princess gown while on a shopping adventure and had to have it! Little girls are SUCH fun!




Here it is in color...this dress is fantastic! And then Charlotte decided she wanted to take a picture of me! (Notice Dancing With The Stars in the background...May seems so long ago now that August is here!)
